Bakersfield Blues...

My thoughts on Bakersfield...

Good show tonight... Everybody worked hard and had good matches... I was impressed with the creativity of Frankie Kazarian. That is a guy who sure has never mailed it in on an APW show and that always impresses me... Good to see the Falling Angel Christopher Daniels. Many don't know this but APW gave him one of his first regular gigs outside of SoCal when him and Suicide Kid had a 5 minute standing ovation at a 1997 Gym Wars event... Good to see him, Frankie, Joe and A. J. doing well in TNA. It always makes me think back to the real success of KING OF INDIES. The marks might think it was not a success because we lost over $12k that weekend and they continue to harp on the Internet about that to this day but we set out what we wanted to do which was showcase unsigned top Indy talent and we did more than that. We also gave Gabe from ROH ideas and look at the success ROH has had since. Congratulations to Gabe and everyone in ROH that makes that thing tick... On another note, KING OF INDIES was run so smoothly by guys like Jason Deadrich and Gabe Ramirez and anyone else I can't remember that contributed. There was lots going on that weekend, with legends, interviews for Boot Camp Instructors (as if I wasn't smart enough to see the Undermining project by PWI coming on). I knew the moment Pro Wrestling Noah pulled out of King of Indies that something was up with them and that the Modest group was starting a school and promotion of their own. I only didn't know they were going to be as underhanded as they were. If they had been smart business men, they would have approached it on a friendly basis and everyone could have been happy and made some big money and who knows, PWI might have still been in business but when the ashes cleared it was APW. Okay, enough ranting and let's get back to the subject at hand - the Bakersfield weekend... I was stuck in that dump Bakersfield in some dive hotel trying to keep Kafu from chasing all the maids around the hotel late Saturday night. He kept yelling hungry - hungry - hungry whatever the hell that means...Old School is the best kept secret in pro wrestling. Now if I can figure out a way to get him in my stable... I really like and will always like the Ballard Brothers. Their matches are always entertaining and they might have had one of the better matches of the weekend... Obviously, Meathead didn't see the chairshot coming. Tells you a little about the IQ's of DJ's in Bakersfield... Glad to see my ploy on the Anvil worked. I was worried he wouldn't be braindead enough and would see it coming... Honest DQ's would make me a babyface. Some guys just need to anty up their $6k and shut the hell up. They think they know it all and they know nothing and would be humbled by the actions of a few of the trainers and myself... Speaking of referees, anyone notice the douche bag missing? It is about time they get rid of her. I hear they put so much pressure on her she quit. She did nothing but get in the way of Kafu and myself. When I heard the rumor she quit and then went out to scout the Ballards tag match, I thought McGraw quitting was only a rumor. I swear the new ref looks just like McGraw from the back but has a tighter looking butt, no offense to McGraw, she had nice breasts tho but no brains, LOL If this new ref isn't careful, I might just have Kafu bend him over although Kafu has his mind set on bending over this kid that quit the Boot Camp... Kafu doesn't do meet and greets for fear he'd destroy some of the fans. It would be a liability waiting to happen. Besides, Kafu has no interest in meeting and greeting the fans... Why are some fans idiots?... On a side note, Kafu didn't have a title defense so why bring the belt. As for the idiot MPT, I have no idea where his belt was. He probably sold it for gas money to get to Bakersfield. Speaking of clowns, I see Doink the Clown made another appearance... Why don't they put the fat guy in the front row in Bakersfield in a clown outfit? He seems to be a clown! Bakersfield is a long drive for everyone and I am happy to see Bakersfield attendance increasing and happy to see that on Sunday when everyone is exhausted and travelling back to the Bay Area and suffering from the Bakersfield blues, we can't wait to come out and entertain the fans of Bakersfield again on 3/24/07... I can't wait to see the idiots in Bakersfield again!

Till my next blog, try not to be an idiot!

Roland brotha,
I love it. Let these clowns know why your the King of the Carnies. This guy is a G when it comes to the wrestling business. APW has dominated the indy scene for over 10 years. Nobody up here can touch it. Nobody down there can touch it. Hell, NO FUCKIN INDY CAN TOUCH IT. And anyone who doesn't take what this man has to say seriously is a fool. I am looking forward to hearing alot more from "Mr. Furley" himself the owner of the building, Roland Alexander.

Hey Rolo you can't hope to change the facts and history by all of a sudden getting some courage and writing about all this stuff five years later.
Your bitterness still shines through after five years.
Nice classy reference about the ashes clearing too since you still owe the Ongs over a million thanks to your school killing their kid.
Oh, and working as a heel on a blog while at the same time breaking kayfabe makes you look like a gigantic idiot.
